Downtown Hometown Event
& Sidewalk Sale
Come Downtown Friday July 9th from 10-5pm & come back Saturday July 10th from 10-5 pm.
The 2010 event will be all you remember and more. Walk the family downtown (where Church & Cherry meet) with a spare stroller to stock up on gifts, clothes, knick-knacks, cards, books, all at discount prices.
We will have brand new books at 50% off. We will have real bargains on greeting cards and stuffed animals. We're even going to have a few Mr. Christmas music boxes on sale.
From 12:00 -2:00pm on Friday July 9th, Curious George will be handing out bananas (his favorite).
On Saturday July 10th from 11:00 -12:00pm, we will have local authors signing their books.
Elizabeth Manaster and her cookbook, A to Zucchini, will be there.
Ron Balson is coming to sign and sell copies of his book Once We Were Brothers.
Libby Hellman, author of 5 mystery novels set in Chicago, will come to our author table.
And Jackie Pillossoph, author of Hook, Line, and Sink Him, will also sign her book for sale.
Popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, football toss, Bozo buckets and more will be provided by local nonprofits along the route.
Stop by Sunset to see the famous BBQ rib smoker or Marcello's for their delicious thin crust pizza slices.
Do It Best hardware hosts a Weber Tent Sale with great deals.
Strolling entertainment and a visit from the WTTW Fun Van on Saturday, July 10th is sure to delight the kids.
